"Gabriel began Karate two years ago, after an incident of being harassed in Pre-School. The aftermath of what we saw within Gabriel was something as parents we never expected. A happy four year old boy who would sit in bed and say "I hate myself, I am dumb." I have known John the owner of AKF for many years through my work with other youth in the community so I reached out to him for some guidance with Gabriel, on building his self confidence and overcoming this situation. Within the first year, Gabriel overcome this obstacle experienced early on in his life, and has become a self confident boy. At the age of six Gabriel continues to attend weekly AKF, not only class but has joined the demo team, sparring and weapons. These opportunities available at AKF have given him the ability to express himself and excel with respect, responsibility and self confidence. Thank you to all the staff for all your support and guidance over the past few years. You truly have made a difference in our son's life."

"I have been a member of AKF for over 2 years. After a long day at work, AKF provides an outlet to unload your stress. AKF is family oriented and makes everyone feel welcome. The instructors are qualified, friendly, and supportive and really care about making you succeed. You can choose whether you want to pursue your Karate belts aggressively or at a more deliberate pace. There is no pressure for everyone to go at the same speed. You get a cardio workout prior to going into Karate techniques allowing you to build your body and mind. AKF is constantly changing its curriculum so the routines do not get repetitive. I would highly recommend AKF to families as well as individuals!"

"Since my son started taking classes with Sensei Tim at AKF, his confidence and his patience have improved. I have noticed that he has become more focused at school and more respectful in general, of others. I would highly recommend their classes to anyone."
